It is you who know the truth of this world. You are one of the chosen few who know of the four Ancient Gods – infinite beings forgotten by history. Each god’s Sphere of Influence still permeates this world -- all living things are subconsciously bound to one of them. Tapping into the Spheres of Influence, you summon and command the might of enormous monsters, epic heroes and arcane dragons to defeat your enemies! Each duel brings new challenges, with the huge amount of cards available, you’ll always be up against strategies that push the limits of Alteil’s various gameplay mechanics – such as the day/night cycle and its effects on undead and lycanthropes, the Soul Card system that lets each player fine tune their Life Point total to better compliment rush or combo play styles, and the Revival system that turns extra copies of a unit in the deck into ‘extra lives’ for that unit on the field. Every match also yields exciting treasure drops, to help you build a vast card collection or just fine-tune and perfect your favorite decks! In addition to completing a successful Kickstarter and presenting at the Indie Megabooth at PAX East 2014, we’ve been lucky enough to get some great press for Alteil: Horizons. Here’s what they’re saying:Kotaku praised the team of artists, saying “Alteil: Horizons is actually an all-stars kind of ensemble title.”MMO Attack focused on the game, saying “Horizons combines what players love from their favorite trading card games with RPG elements”Massively.joystiq names Alteil a “contender in the ring” in the card combat genre against HEX and Hearthstone. They also put Alteil at the top of their 2013 summer list of crowd-funding projects to watch! The Examiner noted, what “sets this game apart from its rivals is the amount and quality of the game’s art.”JStationX calls Alteil Horizons “the next best card-based RPG.”You can also read about us on:Ten Ton Hammer, BioGamerGirl, ComicBuzz, Gamasutra, Gamer’s Temple, Review the Tech, 2P, AnimeNewsNetwork, MMO Site, and On RPG. b4d347fde0 Title: Alteil: HorizonsGenre: Free to Play, Indie, StrategyDeveloper:Apocoplay LLC, Ludeme Games, Coreedge IncPublisher:Apocoplay LLCRelease Date: 27 Oct, 2016 Alteil: Horizons Download Licence Key alteil horizons download. alteil horizons download. alteil horizons card art. alteil horizons card art. alteil horizons download. alteil horizons. alteil horizons. alteil horizons card art. alteil horizons Before the patch I'd be hard pressed to reccomend the steam version to anyone. The patch has resolved the lag issues in the game and it runs smoothly now. This game is rather unique with heavy emphasis on unit placement, resource management, mind games and being allowed access to your entire deck from the start of the game. The games themselves have the potential to be nerve rackingly intense and ofcourse like any good tcg/ccg the you sometimes have to pray to rngesus to bail you out.. My favorite game and the only game i have ever played since I was a kid.. negs: enormous lag; unclear details (bad tutorial; bad single campaign; bad explanation of what things do; even flash games have better help; and proly 5 more things im not in the mood to mention); game revolves around soul powers and not cards; way too slow(play a few hours and youll still have nothing and be clueless); if you want to turn off drag and drop you must do it every match?pros: its an interesting combo of MMDOC type and something elsesome potential here- but if there are any alternatives id rather play those. RIP & RIPped. I am a returning player from the old days of Alteil and I really, and I mean REALLY, wanted to like this reboot and... boy did I try. As I said, I used to play Alteil before it was on steam, and even with some previous experience under my belt the game just overall feels like too much of a struggle on all fronts.I know a lot of people are complaining about the optimization, and they have a point, but my major issues are the following:Progression!Progression feels PAINFULLY slow, and keep in mind this is me coming back with my old account where I already had a ton of extra cards I could use. Finding cards that are actually useful to you or help progress towards a deck you'd like to build or try is just too slow. And before anyone says that the game is designed in a way where it encourages you to buy cards with real money, I actually had a good bunch of premium money left on my old account, and after spending all of it, what was I left with? A bunch of useless 1 - 2 stars and a couple of nice 3 star cards that still are of no use to me since they're nowhere near the types of cards I'd like to build decks with. Recycle them for materials? Sure! Except there is a problem with that that I'll get to in a bit... An example fix would be to let you choose between a few different cards when ever you get a drop. Or at the very least let you choose the color. It still wouldn't be perfect but it would help.Crafting! At first I was very excited about the crafting system, but when I got to actually trying it.. It's a little bit convoluted to say the least. There are no tutorials or explanations on how it's supposed to work in game at all, almost like they expect you to look this up online. While it is possible, it's tedious and just flat out bad design. I do like the idea of how the cards themselves are made with the crafting system, but actually getting the materials to even ATTEMPT to craft a single useable card is miserable. You can't craft lower tier materials into higher tier ones even when you have excess amounts of them, and gaining the higher level materials is kind of luck of the draw. As an example, I got around 20 tier 2 falcow crafting materials troughout my time on horizons, and managed to gradually build up 6 of the tier 2 materials that I actually needed only to get unlucky and get a useless card I didn't need with them. (I used an exact recipe to try and get a specific card I wanted).Single player missions! While I like the idea of these single player missions as a way to get materials and cards a lot, I feel like some of them are not explained very well at all. ESPECIALLY considering that the game breaks and changes the core rules of the game a lot all the time without informing the player about it at all. Sometimes there are objectives that the game just flat out doesn't tell you, and the only way you'll find out is when you get a nice "You lose" message on screen after you do something wrong. This is kind of unforgivable to be honest, as it makes the player feel like they've just wasted a lot of time when it wasn't even their fault. At LEAST give the player a checklist of things they should (not) do before a mission starts. To summerize:I feel like the game has a lot of potential, but it feels like a constant uphill battle "to even get to the fun part" of the game, which is building decks and using them against other players. And again, remember that I have a good deal of previous experience and resources with the old Alteil under my belt. But hey, at least it's free, so if you feel like despite all of this you'd like to give it a shot, do so!. its getting better. I want to like this game, and I want to recommend it. I really do. The game mechanics do seem like they would provide some great strategy, and it doesn't look like you need to gather a huge number of cards or go out of your way to build a workable "deck". But in the game's current state I just can't do it. The bugs, connection issues and other technical problems just cripple this game too much. I know that the devs are working on the issues, and in more ways than just telling us they're working on them; the game's performance has slowly been improving day by day, so I will give the game some credit here too, that the devs do care about the game and the player experience and are putting effort into it. But it's just not quite there yet, and I do also take off credit for the devs releasing the game in the state it was in rather than ensuring that the game was in a solidly playable state before Steam launch. So I will say this: put the game on your wishlist and wait it out until the bugs are cleared up, as I am confident they will eventually be, perhaps even soon, as it is clear the devs are working hard to fix them. But I vote this game down for now, because as it is currently it's only barely playable.. Been playing Alteil since about 2009 or 2010? I forgot. Pretty good game, you can see your whole deck from the start and place them down being mindful of your SP curve and such things. It takes practice. Dont worry about RP and just smash faces in.Alteil Steam client is currently a work in progress but is working. Just if that sluggish response when i try to open discord while having steam client active at same time be gone will be great. And tidalwave isn't core. :3 Basically Tidalwave abuse got banned unless you're playing noncore :p Thus it gets a 4\/5 from me.. Well.. I played this game a lot when it was still a browser game. It's an amazing concept of card games, with a epic story and a lot of different characters with different skills. This is the good side. The bad side is that it's tough to do a competitive file against the many experienced users here, so you'll probably lose a lot before starting to get the hang of the things. And you mostly need money to buy cards or try really hard to get cards free through lottery and free gram (the money of the game) that you earn here. They are improving the game which options which you can buy cards with the free money you earn every battle, so that's a good improvement. Otherwise, amazing game.
